A program built on bayanihan
Context and background
Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers (ABEs) are the backbone of agricultural modernization, countryside development and infrastructure advancement across the Philippines. They work in offices and in rigorous field environments — from remote rural project sites and municipal outposts to disaster-recovery zones — and often face occupational hazards, high-stress project demands and unexpected financial vulnerabilities.
Professional organizations provide solidarity in career development, yet members and their families still bear the sudden, overwhelming costs of medical emergencies, critical hospitalization or an untimely passing. No engineer should face severe hardship in isolation. Bantay ABE: Tulong Bayaw Network is a member-funded, transparent mutual aid system rooted in the Filipino ethos of bayanihan and mutual professional care.
“Tulungan sa Oras ng Pangangailangan, Kapit Bisig Bayaw.”
Tulong at pagkakaisa para sa masaganang agrikultura.
A progressive and productive agricultural sector begins with secure, supported and unified engineers.
What we set out to do
Timely financial relief
Structured assistance for death and hospitalization that eases the immediate economic burden on families.
Radical transparency
A digital, member-driven platform where every peso contributed, paid out and tracked is accountable to the community.
Professional solidarity
A deep sense of security, brotherhood and shared responsibility among agricultural and biosystems engineers nationwide.
How it stays sustainable
The network runs on a scalable, risk-shared contribution model. By spreading small, manageable contributions across a wide network of active members, substantial aid reaches families in crisis without placing a heavy burden on any one person. Staying active through regular contributions keeps the whole community protected.
Our commitment
True engineering is about building resilient foundations — not only in structures and agriculture, but within our community. Bantay ABE embodies our shared commitment to look out for one another, with help that arrives when it is needed most.
Contributions vs. assistance, last 6 months
A member is active once the joining fee is paid, and stays covered by paying monthly dues of ₱100. One month behind is allowed.
